Our Team
Aurélie Monnier, 24, from Switzerland, holds a Bachelor's degree in economics and has traveled extensively in Africa and Asia. She enjoys working in intercultural environments, and this project was born during a semester abroad in Tanzania as part of her studies. She is primarily responsible for external relations with donors and fundraising.
Natalie Fink Rwehumbiza, 28, originally from Austria, has been working with the organization RDO since 2016. Natalie is a social pedagogue and serves as the project manager for KaribuPads in Tanzania. She is primarily responsible for on-site operations and coordination. Through her close collaboration with rural communities, she has become aware of the significant challenges faced by girls and young women due to period poverty.
Jestina Mgaya, 29, from Tanzania, is responsible for the production unit. Despite being an accountant by profession, her role extends beyond overseeing production; she is also responsible for maintaining all financial accounts in order.
Khadija Mohamed John, from Tanzania, works as a consultant and supervisor in the RDO tailoring department. Already her mother was a skilled tailor, and therefore Khadija inherited her talent from her early childhood. At the age of 6, she was already capable of sewing her own school uniform. Beyond her advanced technical skills, her calm and patient personality makes her an excellent mentor for the girls, both technically and personally.
RDO Vocational Training students are responsible for producing the sanitary kits, from calculating and ordering the materials to packing the kits. They are guided and supervised as they learn to calculate fabric quantities, manage accounts, and design the pads.
Lawrencia Kayuki is the chairperson of the RDO Home-based Orphans Support Program, which assists orphans and vulnerable families in rural areas of Tanzania. This department works closely with rural communities and is responsible for conducting all KaribuPads awareness-raising sessions and distributing the pads to the girls.
